Brave Browser (BAT), the platform aiming to provide a decentralized privacy-centric browsing experience, has filed a complaint in Europe against search engine Google, stating that Google violates the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) by allowing companies access to personal information to create customized advertisements.

The browser has also replaced Google with Qwant for searches in France and Germany. Qwant bills itself as the “search engine that respects your privacy”.

Google has denied the complaint, stating that the company is in compliance with GDPR.
