Google has announced that it will be removing the ban it had placed on cryptocurrency advertisements in March. The move echoes a similar action taken by Facebook recently, allowing pre-approved advertisements on its site.

The search engine had stated initially that the action was taken to protect users from frauds and bad actors who could take advantage of the cryptocurrency boom to scam users.

Google’s new policy will enable advertisements to be viewed from Japan and the US, with advertisements for other countries approved individually.
