Japan’s National Police Agency (NPA) has reported that the number of crypto suspicious transactions have increased, even though it is still only 1.7% of the total transactions conducted in the cryptoshpere.

The NPA has logged 5,944 transactions for the first 10 months of 2018, a 788% increase from the 669 activities for the same period in 2017. An NPA official has stated that “it’s already been some time since the reporting system began, and it has been embraced by the industry through guidance from the Financial Services Agency”.
