The Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius is considering licensing cryptocurrency custodians and has issued a draft of its proposed regulations. The draft will be available for opinions and public comments till the 30th of November.

The new licensing regulations will include all the requirements complied with by traditional asset custodians, while requiring additional anti-money laundering protocols.

Eligibility of applicants will be determined by the FSC with strong emphasis on risk management and anti-fraud policies that are enacted as well as KYC procedures.
